My name is Eliza McDonough and I help students apply to college. I offer in-person sessions across Southern California (Los Angeles, San Diego & Orange County) and virtual sessions worldwide.

I work to simplify the college application process so that students can showcase their unique achievements and craft applications they are excited to submit. My approach stems not only from my work with student applicants, but also from my own experience applying to college and graduate school. I earned a Bachelor’s in English Literature with a focus on Creative Nonfiction from Dartmouth College and a Master’s from Sotheby’s Institute of Art, New York. Early on in my career, I worked as a copy editor for art publications and found myself drawn to the power of the written word. When I am not tutoring clients, I work at a nonprofit that helps underserved students access higher education.
